We Really Need You to be a Precinct Committee Officer
Plenty of openings are available.
Check HERE to find your precinct.
PCOs are the essential building blocks of the Democratic Party.
Each PCO is an elected (or appointed) representative to their precinct. They are responsible for getting to know the Strong and Leaning Democrats in their precinct, encourage strong voter turnout, and serve in their Legislative District and County Democratic Organizations.
For more information contact: chair@skyvalleydemocrats.org or attend the next Sky Valley Democrats meeting for more information.

No Kings — Monroe, WA — March 28, 2026

Over 700 turned out in Monroe!

Meet the 12th Legislative District

The 12th LD comprises a portion of SE Snohomish County, Eastern King County, and majority of Chelan County. The Cascade Mountain Range separates us west from east. The top three populations are Wenatchee, Monroe, and Snoqualmie/North Bend.
Sky Valley Democrats is the SE Snohomish County component of the the 12th LD Democrats.
The chair of SVD is Vice Chair of the 12th LD.
The E-Board of the 12th is strongly distributed on the west side with the chair living in Wenatchee.

The 12th Legislative District actually crosses the Cascade Mountains into the more conservative areas of Washington State. Most of the population exists on the very western and eastern edges of this vast district. Both sides have a commonality, they are all rural communities.

Sultan Jam
Sky Valley Democrats held three “good trouble” protests at
Travelers Park along Highway 2 on Sunday afternoons to catch the slow moving traffic coming off the pass.
Sultan Jam
This Traffic Jam Was Brought To You By
39th LD: Keith Wagoner; Carolyn Eslick; Sam Low
12th LD: Keith Goehner; Brian Burnett; Mike Steele

We held six specific signs identifying the 3 Legislators from the 12th LD and from the 39th LD who represent different parts of Sultan.
Fundamentally, Highway 2 has not seen much improvement in decades. There is no sign of dedicated design work toward a vastly improved US 2. And why would that be?

Interestingly, all six legislators (2 senators, 4 representatives) are….
Republicans. And the area has been in Republican hands for well over twenty years (previously 39th before the 12th was pulled westward).

We are simply showing drivers public information — photos from the Legislative website, their names, Legislative District, and official phone number.

Feel free to call them. Tell them how the traffic impacts your life out in eastern Sky Valley. Ask them to work toward expanding the highway. Listen very carefully.

And remember that mid-term elections are coming in 2026.
Perhaps we might have a better choice for a better future.

Next Meeting Wednesday, July 8th — 5pm to 630pm
Monroe Library. Bring at least one friend.
Special Guests: Dave Somers, Snohomish County Executive
